And this is the Duke! I have been painting for as long as I can remember, combining my love of animals with painting and sculpture. Working on a commission basis over several years, I have produced lots of lovely pieces of work for people to enjoy. More recently, I decided to produce a collection of work to share more widely and created Emma Hendry-Ault Fine Art as a platform to reach more people and sell my work.

 There are two sides to my personality that are mirrored in my artwork! The competitive, loud, seemingly confident and success driven side has been responsible for lots of wonderful experiences in sport and professional opportunities. The quiet, creative, animal-loving and nurturing side has sometimes had to take a back seat but has always been there, waiting for the right time to take over...!

Art allows me to just be! I can be loud with my colour and my bold pattern whilst capturing the quiet, innocent, unquestioning nature of the animals I paint. I enjoy watching animals in their most comfortable environment and wondering what they are thinking about as they meander through their day! Most of the images in my paintings are from photographs taken by either myself or my daughter whilst in and amongst them! Some, as you will see, have been taken whilst in play, some at rest and some on a mission to get somewhere or do something!

I have been working on this collection over several months. What I have enjoyed in particular, is discovering which paintings people like most and why! It fascinates me because the responses are all so different! I wonder if you can guess which is my favourite at the moment and why? I would love to know yours! I really hope you enjoy my work.
